DESCRIPTION

Overview

The Huayu AC-coupled energy storage inverter HYH-3K-AC-HV with nominal AC output power 3kW is designed for retrofitting existing on-grid solar system to a battery-based energy storage system. It’s installed at the AC output of an on-grid solar system to maximize self-consumption and optimize time-of-use application with backup power or provide continuous AC power through its UPS function in case of a grid outage.

Work Patterns

Integrated with a battery bank, the retrofit energy storage system combined with HYH-3K-AC-HV and an existing grid-tie inverter can work under on-grid mode for self-consumption(default), time-of-use, AC charge and force discharge and under off-grid mode for uninterrupted power supply(UPS)with backup power.

Backup Power

HYH-3K-AC-HV is compatible with 250Vdc low voltage Li-Ion or Lead Acid battery bank(battery voltage range 90-450Vdc).Backup power capacity is a maximum of 3000 watts and it takes a seamless switchover(UPS)within 10ms upon a grid outage.

Safety

The inverter integrates both ground fault protection and arc fault protection(AFCI).

Parallel Extension
Huayu AC-coupled energy storage system can support both single phase and three phase parallel configuration with a maximum of 10 units of HYH-3K-AC-HV inverters to improve power output up to 30kW.

Smart Monitoring

The Huayu Portal smart monitoring platform provides real-time operating status and historical data including general data of solar power generation, discharge backup power, load consumption and electricity feed into the grid.
